Finished weeded onions and sowed my three carrot bags....
Finally finished weeding my onions (hopefully in future hoeing will do!)
And added a framework and sowed my three carrot bags
Though it was very wet again today and had to work between downpours. So time for homemade cornbread and apple pie!
Tomorrow I hope to finish weeding fad bed a put peas and beans in and dig up a near drill for the sweetcorn.
I also add wild flower seed, toms and peas to my two window boxes and lots of good earth!

Created three carrot beds from a ton of topsoil..
Lent sprayer and blight solution to John.
Very heavy persistent rain today. But managed to wheelbarrow my one ton of top soil into three bags for carrot growing.
Want to build a frame to hold bags upright and to support mesh cover (anti carrot fly!)
Also manged to weed a third of my onions.
Lots more plants bought at the Co-op, Bunratty and Woodies, Limerick :)
3x tumbler tomatoes, 2x peas, beans, 2x cabbage and lettuce.
I think I will use a pea and tumber at the end of the revamped window boxes so the peas and tomatoes tumble down :)
Also my onions and kale and cabbage seed bags are looking good in the shed :)

Weeded spuds and sprayed against blight...
Headed to Woodies, Limerick for blight spray but stopped off at Busy Bee Garden Centre for coffee beforehand and managed to get everything there! :) As well as reading the latest Irish Gardener's World magazine :)
Some of the speciality seeds were a bit pricey.
I even managed to get three asparagus crowns - which I'd given up on after phoning round as too late/early in the season
So weeding the spuds. Before:
and after weeding and spaying:
I also got the asparagus in:
And my beans out of the shed and into the ground! :)
And when it was lashing down - which it did a lot I did some seed trays:
So a good day overall. Even though it was a 5:2 day lunch was lovely! :)
