Transferred compost and cut grass..

Well I emptied my rotating compostor to take contents to allotment and transferred the contents of the vertical compostor to it - which was starting to get a few flies, etc. A bit messy but great organic material :)

Then decided to rip up all the grass around my plot which took all day!

Tomorrow I can weed the plot more now the enemy at the gate has been vanquished! :) :)

Pity to pull some of the weeds though..

And when I got back either a fledgling made it or a cat did!

Drill of onion sets planted..

Didn't get to the allotment until after lunch but dug two more drills and got a set of onions in one :)

Now have 50+ onion sets planted.

And the bees are loving the kale I'm letting go to seed!

I'll get there earlier tomorrow and get 2nd drill of onions planted and then start weeding and tidying up. I'm off to Mayo Friday morning so I'm against the clock!

2nd line of first earlies..

Armed with sandwiches and thermos of coffee I dug the 2nd line and planted my spuds!

Time for a tea break!

I invited my neighbour's daughter to plant one also! :)

Job done. Next to weed beds and dig up two drills for the onion sets I was given :)

Glad to see on return from Mayo after two weeks the allotment wasn't full of weeds!

And got my first line of first earlies planted...

And watered.

Pity I put them in upside down!

Job done! 2nd line will be done tomorrow :)
